Shooting Shelina Permalloo’s London Food Tour for The Telegraph

In June, I had the privilege of photographing The MasterChef winner and cookbook author Shelina Permalloo as she guided readers through her favorite food destinations across London for The Telegraph. The feature — “Shelina Permalloo food guide” — offers a personal, insider’s look at where she loves to eat, and my task was to help bring her culinary map to life.

The story was commissioned by The Telegraph and South Western Railway, and took the form of a documentary-style travel and food feature. We started in Waterloo, then headed to Leake Street Arches, the Roupell Street Conservation Area, and finished at Birds Hill Coffee Bankside, Borough Market (shooting at JUMA Kitchen and Arabica), and finally the London Coliseum for The Great Gatsby musical.

Shooting this guide was more than a food assignment—it was a visual journey through a chef’s London. The balance between environment, subject, and dish made it a compelling narrative to photograph.  BTS video here
