About
Hayley Benoit (b. 1988) is a portrait, commercial, and editorial photographer, inspired by the intersection of identity, personal history, and emotional expression. A born-and-bred Londoner with Dominican and Antiguan heritage, she brings a unique perspective to her work.
With over 13 years of experience in photography, Hayley has built a diverse portfolio that includes gallery portraits, unit stills, and behind-the-scenes photography for feature films and high-end television. She has worked with clients such as Lucasfilm, Universal Pictures, and Disney.
Hayley began her career in fashion photography, where she developed a sharp eye for detail and a unique ability to connect quickly with her subjects in a raw, playful style. Her creative journey expanded while living in Australia and New Zealand, where she refined her food photography skills and deepened her love for travel.
She continuously explores the nuances of how environment, clothing, and movement shape and reflect an individual's mental well-being, as seen in her personal projects that tell meaningful stories.
Hayley’s work has been exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery, and she was a finalist for the Taylor Wessing Photographic Prize. She has also appeared on television as a guest judge on BBC Three’s Hungry for It and was featured in Sky Arts’ documentary series My Greatest Shot.

"Hayley has become one of our resident photographers when we receive a client brief, she’s diligent in the planning process, ensures the collaboration process is smooth and always delivers strong content within tight timeframes." - Natalie, Communications Manager
"I loved working with Hayley, whilst I was editing Art Wednesday - a London-based arts & culture website. She is a brilliant photographer, with a natural creative eye and high quality editing skills. She's reliable and hard-working and always prepared to go the extra mile." - Marissa C, Online Editor @ Art Wednesday
"I was fortunate to publish a great deal of Hayley's work in the years she was a photographer for Broadsheet. It's no exaggeration to say Hayley always went above and beyond – beyond being incredibly reliable and producing consistent, and consistently high quality, photography to extremely tight deadlines. Hayley's professionalism and the quality of her work always set her apart, and helped us turn Broadsheet into the respected publication it is. The approach she takes to solving visual challenges is genuinely impressive, as is her calm, friendly attitude and the care she takes to fulfil briefs to the letter. In a crowded field, Hayley stands out. I'd love the chance to work with her again." - Tim F, Editorial Director @ Broadsheet Media
